Hi my name is Alison and I have enjoyed a varied career to date; I have been a post doctoral research scientist working in the aquaculture industry, the manager of an award winning nursery and a small business owner (Grefintec) developing interactive teaching resources.

A keen volunteer, I am a former director of the ‘Scottish Preschool Play Association’ (recently renamed Early Years Scotland), an active STEM Ambassador and Parent Governor at my children’s school.

I have recently started the journey towards becoming a teacher and have recently accepted a place on a School Centred Initial Teacher Training course to become a secondary biology teacher with science and will commence my studies in September 2016.
